Onboarding Process
OUTBermuda maintains a Board of Directors Selection, Appointment, Assessment and Rotation Policy to provide clarity on the various processes involved in managing the Board of Directors of the charity.
Selections for new Directors will be made based on a review of application material, interviews, an evaluation of balance of skills/knowledge/expertise on the current Board/Committeees and the diversity of the current Board.
Once a selection has been made, Directors will:
- Review and sign a Director Responsibilities & Statement of Understanding
- Be required to sign a Charity Trustee Declaration, which is submitted to the Registry General
- Be added to the OUTBermuda website and an announcement made on social and/or other media
- Be added to the public Register of Directors on the Registrar of Companies
